Spring 2016

Course Description
This course will examine the employment relationship in the United States. It consumes the majority of the waking lives of any employed person in the nation and more than half the expense budget of the employers. We will examine the nature, the benefits and the details of the relationship and the various common law, statutory and regulatory measures it has attracted.

Although the course will address antidiscrimination and whistleblower statutes, they are not the principal focus and the content will include only passing discussion of the National Labor Relations Act as amended. This course will address these issues from the perspective of both counseling and litigation in the practical world of law.
