LAW534  B  TOPICS IN FLORIDA PRACTICE

Course Description
The objective of this course is to assist a student in his/her preparation of the Florida section of Florida Bar Exam by systemically reviewing Florida specific topics.

Professor Schimel will introduce and review the rules for the commonly tested subjects. Students will write essays and complete multiple choice assessments, and receive detailed feedback. Essay subjects include: Florida Torts, Florida Contracts, Florida Real Property, Florida Trusts, Florida Family Law, and Florida Constitutional Law. Multiple choice subjects will include: Florida Civil and Criminal Procedure, Florida Wills and Estate Administration, Business Entities, and Florida Evidence.

This course will be a 2-credit pass/fail course. This course is only open to third year law students.

The required textbook for the course is available for purchase from BarBri for $160. Details will be provided to students who enroll.


This course has two sections: Section A will take place on Mondays 5:30pm-7:20pm Section B will be Tuesdays 5:30pm-7:20pm.

Students who wish to audit this course can sign up for either section A-AU or B-AU.
