Course Description
This course introduces students to (and prepares them for advanced study and research in) the substantive law of wills, trusts, and estates. Uniform codes such as the Uniform Probate Code and the Uniform Trust Code, rather than the law of any one jurisdiction, provides the statutory framework for the course. Although lecture is the primary format, students are expected to have read all assignments thoroughly and to be prepared to participate meaningfully when called on in class.
