LAW262  AS  UNION ORGANIZING AND COLLECTIVE BARGAINING IN THE ENTERTAINMENT INDUSTRY

Course Description
This short course will provide an overview of union organizing under the National Labor Relations Act with a focus on real life organizing activities in connection with popular television shows and movies that the instructor has handled. You will also learn how to negotiate a collective bargaining agreement and have a chance to improve your negotiation skills by participating in a mock negotiation.

Short Course Attendance Policy Due to the small number of meetings, attendance to all meetings/classes for short courses is mandatory. Students who miss more than one class session (80 minutes) of a 1-credit short course are subject to administrative withdrawal and will have a W for the course on their transcripts.
