  • Assignment: Class 1 Wed., Jan 16 Introduction to Class, Immigration and Citizenship Law in Historical Context, Introduction to Sources of Law, Vocabulary of Immigration Law, and Immigration Agencies and Adjudicative Bodies In this class, we will become familiar with basic history of immigrants in the U.S. We will identify and understand the sources of immigration law (statute, regulation, constitution) and how they relate to one another. We will learn the basic concepts and vocabulary that appear in immigration law, the agencies involved in enforcing immigration law, and the adjudicative bodies that make immigration-related decisions Read- Casebook: 1-23, 236-46
