AW THE 10TH JUSTICE
Course Description
The 10th Justice is a seminar in which you will have the opportunity to research and understand, in depth, a Supreme Court case of your choice. You will then write an opinion which concurs or dissents from the majority. The class will explore the elements of opinion writing, including research of the supporting briefs and other pertinent information in writing your opinion. You will also apply doctrine as appropriate within multiple fields and subject areas. To assist you in formulating your arguments, you will have an opportunity to present your case before your fellow “Justices.”
