LAW612  A  COMMUNITY EQUITY INNOVATION & RESOURCE LAB

Course Description
The Community Equity, Innovation, and Resource Lab trains students to collaborate with civic and faith-based groups, legal services and nonprofit organizations, and private and public entities in providing rights education, policy research, and technical assistance to low-income communities across the fields of civil rights, economic development, and poverty law. Course work addresses public interest law and the lawyering process, professional responsibility and professionalism, and the interdisciplinary study of poverty. Course requirements include a weekly seminar, supervised research, and fieldwork.
