Course Description
|
The class examines legal issues relating to transnational financial activity. In Spring 2020 I plan to focus on the following 5 topics: Litigation Issues in International Financial Transactions; Issues in Transnational Financial Regulation; Compliance and International Finance: Sanctions, Money Laundering, Libor; Fintech; and Climate Change: Financial Stability and Climate Finance. Course materials are provided on the course website. The materials take account of current developments. International Finance: This seminar will meet for the first part of the semester then take a break for students to work on their papers before meeting for the last part of the semester for presentations.
