  • Assignment: Welcome! This class has no required texts to purchase. All the readings are available in PDF format on our Blackboard page, or you may purchase a print out of the readings from the Law School Copy Center (2nd floor of the library, past the microfiche section). Each week, we will have a short introduction video which you should watch before reading that week's chapter. We will move a pretty steady pace of one chapter per week. Following class, there will be some online assignments and assessments for you to complete. All of the materials--video, reading, assignments, assessments--can be found on the Blackboard page ( For our first class, please watch the video introduction and read the attached case of Hawkins v. McGee. The Blackboard page will go "live" later this week; but in the meanwhile, the reading is attached here. **Update: the Blackboard page is now visible. There are a couple of online assignments for our first class, in addition to the readings: a short exercise on Hawkins v. McGee and a little get-to-know-you video exercise. You will also find the syllabus and other materials all there.***
