LAW407  AP  LEGAL MALPRACTICE LAW SEMINAR

Course Description
This seminar will introduce students to lawyer malpractice and professional liability litigation against the backdrop of the rules and standards of ethical and professional conduct promulgated by the American Bar Association, the American Law Institute, and The Florida Bar more generally. The course will survey theories of lawyer and law firm liability, including negligence and breach of fiduciary duty, remedies and defenses to recovery, vicarious liability, loss prevention, and insurance, as well as the law of lawyering.
