Course Description
Can an employer fire an employee for a suicide attempt? Can an individual with autism be denied an organ transplant? Is unnecessary institutionalization segregation? What should an attorney know about representing a deaf client? What inquiries can the Board of Bar Examiners lawfully make about a law student’s treatment history? This course will introduce students to basic components of the Americans with Disabilities Act through a variety of topics.

Short Course Attendance Policy
Due to the small number of meetings, attendance to all meetings/classes for short courses is mandatory. Students who miss more than one class session (80 minute) of a 1-credit short course are subject to administrative withdrawal and will have a W for the course on their transcripts.
