Course Description
|
The law of disability discrimination and accommodations is relevant to huge numbers of your future clients including most employers, most businesses open to the public, real estate developers, condominium associations, and educational institutions. This course will provide an introduction to the relevant requirements and causes of action We will primarily focus on the contexts of housing and employment, but also do some examples from education and public accommodations. The course also will allow you to improve your skills at interpreting modern dense statutes and regulations. Finally, some of the causes of action are used for cases involving discrimination based on race/ethnicity, sex and religion, so provides a good introduction to courses in housing or employment discrimination.
